PARADOX — Cooperate With Your Past Self

A time-clone cooperation puzzler. Record a run, rewind, and your past self replays it beside you. Your best teammate is who you were 12 seconds ago.

Overview

PARADOX is a puzzle game where you solve every level by cooperating with yourself across time. You do a run, then rewind, and a clone of your past self replays exactly what you just did, right next to you. Stand on the plate now so the clone can cross, then become the clone next loop while a fresh you does the next part.

Your best teammate is who you were twelve seconds ago. Every puzzle is really a question of what to hand off to your past self and what to save for your future one.

How it works

Each level is a choreography you build one layer at a time. A single player can’t hold two buttons at once, so you record yourself holding the first, rewind, and let the recording hold it while the live you handles the second. Stack enough loops and a one-person puzzle becomes a team of your own ghosts moving in sync.

What makes it interesting

  • Single-player co-op — the whole game is teamwork, but every teammate is a recording of you
  • Planning across time — you’re not solving the room, you’re solving the sequence of who-does-what-when
  • Clean causality — the clones are deterministic replays, so a solved level is a little machine you built out of your own past moves
  • That satisfying click — when four ghost-yous finally move in lockstep and the door opens

Highlights

  • Time-clone cooperation — record, rewind, replay, repeat
  • Deterministic ghost replays you choreograph across loops
  • Puzzle depth from one simple rule — you can always cooperate with your past self
