DRIFT — The Belt Goes On Forever

Endless 3D flight through an asteroid belt that never ends. Steer, boost, blast, and thread the gaps as the field tightens around you.

Overview

DRIFT is an endless 3D flight through an asteroid belt with no finish line. You steer a ship deeper and deeper into a field that keeps generating ahead of you, threading gaps, boosting through the clear stretches, and blasting the rocks you can’t dodge. It runs entirely in the browser on WebGL.

The pitch is in the tagline. The belt goes on forever, so the game isn’t about winning, it’s about how long and how gracefully you can keep flying.

How to play

Steer to weave through the rocks, boost to close distance and take risks, and blast the asteroids directly in your path. The field procedurally streams in front of you, so there’s always more belt and it only gets tighter.

What makes it interesting

  • Real 3D in the browser — a WebGL flight game, not a 2D fake, running with zero install
  • Endless procedural field — the belt is generated ahead of the ship, so no two runs are the same and it never ends
  • Risk-reward boosting — speed closes gaps faster but leaves you less time to react, which is the core tension of every run
  • Pure arcade loop — steer, boost, blast, survive, and push your distance a little further each time

Highlights

  • 3D asteroid-belt flight on WebGL, browser-native
  • Procedurally endless — the field never stops generating
  • Twitch-arcade controls tuned for the thread-the-gap moment
